Today a fire truck came to Silverstream School. They had to choose 2 people from each class to squirt the fire hose. They talked about what we have to do in a fire. One of the things they said is shout "fire, fire, fire!" If there is a fire. The fireman showed us how high the ladder goes. He turned it around and squirted the hose from the ladder. They put a coat on Mrs Martin and someone else wore a little suit. When they put the ladder down they took up the extra leg supports and they made a bang. They told us they can save people in earthquakes, cars and even cats from trees.
